This book was written by Connie Shelton and is 244 pages in length.  The Book Centers around Samantha Sweet, who is a single mom trying to make ends meet.  She dreams of one day owning her own bakery. 

Characters and Location:
The characters are well thought out and well rounded.  I have read the entire series and can say that the books glide from one book to the next and the reader really gets to know them and love them.
This books location is New Mexico, and while I have never lived there, the book does an excellent job of painting a picture of life in a small town in New Mexico. 

Plot:
Sam, who is in her 50's, finds a magical box.  Her daughter arrives in town and Sam tries to help her out.  It is well written and you will enjoy the plot twists.

Language, Sex and Violence:
This is a cozy mystery.  While a budding romance is in the plot, you have to imagine all the sex and violence yourself. 


Summary:
I liked this book.  I am not usually a person that is into sci-fi, and I was afraid this magic box would become the center of the book, but I am happy to say that it was a piece of the book, but not the focus of the series.  The book is easy to read, and at the time of this review, it's free, so go grab it for yourself and read away!
